I invite you to close your eyes.
Imagine it’s the year 2030. That’s 9 years from now. Picture that for a moment. Picture yourself for a moment.
Things have changed. Things look different. Things feel different. People are different. Community is different.
There are no longer many doors to walk through. You don’t have one door for your home, or one door for your work, or one door for your social events. You have just one door. One door you walk through.
Imagine yourself walking through that door. Imagine your hand on the door knob. Imagine twisting the doorknob and pulling the door back. And imagine stepping through that door to the other side….
You’ve walked through that door, and now, what do you see first? What is in front of you? Do you see buildings and homes? Or land? Nature? Or structures? Or technology that hasn’t even been invented yet? What is around you?
Who is with you? Are you by yourself? Are you surrounded by other people? Do you know these people? What do they look like? How do you interact with them? Is there other life besides human?
What is everyone doing? Are they working? Are they collaborating? Are they playing? Are they moving? Are they resting?
What do you hear? Voices? Music? Machines? Laughter? Animals? Robots? Are there new sounds?
What do you smell? What smells of food do you recognize? What smells of nature do you recognize? Are there new smells?
How do you feel? Really explore that. How do you feel? Do you feel anything you haven't felt before or in a long time?
